Welcome everyone. Glad to see you all here. Let’s get started with an attunement.

Opening Attunement

Find a comfortable place where you can be internal and undisturbed. Settling in so you’re comfortable. Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth, and letting each breath breathe in the divine to you. And as you breathe out, you release any stress, any tension, any thoughts that don’t belong in an internal state. And as you go in deeper and deeper and deeper to the core of your being, ask yourself, “What would I like to have happen in this webinar today”?

Let the answer to that question just emerge.

Allow the relaxation to be inside yourself and to move outward so that your whole energy field becomes quiet. And you’re moving the energy outward, so there’s nothing coming in that is stressful or tense or collective energy. You’re keeping your energy field pure for yourself and just breathe, allowing the breath to permeate from the very core of your being outward 7ft in every direction, and imagine a bubble of light coming from inside of you and radiating outward to the boundaries of your energy field.

This light field in which you reside protects you. As long as you remain calm, centered, and keeping the energy around you radiating from your center, you are indeed protected. I’ll give you a few moments to enjoy the peacefulness of yourself. Pause.

And now, bringing yourself back to the core and setting your intention again for the hour of the webinar and knowing that you are a divine being, protected from the energy around you. Wiggle your fingers and toes, coming back to a wakeful consciousness, opening your eyes, and being fully awake and present and ready to go to work.

Does anyone want to share before we move on to other things? If not, I’d like to talk about the world situation and the stress it’s putting on everyone.  Whether you’re involved in it or not, just feeling the collective angst and hearing bits and pieces of fear, of predictions, of doom and gloom, of the possibility of a world war. I’m sure that all of us have had people in our circle who are somewhat freaked out and may not have the same viewpoint as you do.

What I want to focus on today is how to navigate that kind of angst that’s going on around you and recognize communication that’s coming from each world so that you understand what communication skills you can use in order to stay balanced and to avoid your own emotions getting in the way of clear perception. In order to do that, let me delineate for you what the Four Worlds are and give you a tiny snippet of information about the different communication skills that are important in each world. Some of you are quite familiar with my work, and others of you are somewhat new to it. I’m going to explain a little bit about the world we generally live in – The Mental World.

The Mental World

The Mental World is the world of reality. It’s the world of thinking, acting, and behaving. And one of the components of the Mental World is that we’ve all been socialized to our own culture. And that’s an important concept to understand and to recognize. We have people in the webinar from Europe, from Australia, from Africa, from all over, and from the Far East. All of you have slightly different cultural practices, which is natural. And in different cultures, perceptions are slanted to see things in a certain way. And there’s nothing wrong with that. There are some cultures, in fact, that have no concept of round because all they’ve seen are angles, and they don’t have words that describe curved surfaces.

We take for granted that when we grow up in a culture, people think the way we do. That’s not necessarily true. So be aware that when you’re functioning in your world, that world may have different ways of thinking than people who live in a different cultural milieu. Talking to them requires you to understand their vocabulary, the meaning of their words, and how they express the syntax of what they’re speaking about.

When you’re in an interaction with someone in the real world, stay surface. Don’t try to go deep. If they disagree with you, do not engage. If you are interested in deepening a conversation in the Mental World the way you do, that would be to say, “You’re thinking ‘X’ about why,” and you just feed it back to them in a superficial way. The reality world is not a world to go deep into the soul. Keep that in mind. It’s surface, it’s functional, it’s what you need to do and say to get ahead in your daily life.

If you went into a supermarket and you were at the checkout line, you would not get into a deep conversation with the checkout person. I don’t think. I certainly wouldn’t. I don’t think any of you would. But if you were in a classroom and it’s usually a Mental World and somebody asked a deep question, you might shift into a different world for the moment. So, for example, if you were in a classroom and somebody started to act out or get belligerent, it would be the teacher’s responsibility to recognize the emotional reactivity and move them into more of a spiritual place. Navigating the world is complex, not simple.

The Emotional World

Let’s move to the Emotional World. You’re driving in your car, you’re moving along really easily, and somebody suddenly cuts you off, and you have an emotional reaction, and you blurt out some kind of curse; “Fuck you, stupid idiot,” whatever you do. When you’re emotionally reactive, you need to take it to a higher level. It was not personal. And when somebody has an emotional reaction and it’s not you, and it activates something in you, take your reaction to a spiritual level so you don’t get caught in the emotional reactivity that then has residue inside of you after the event.

Transforming emotional reactivity is tricky for most people. If it’s someone in the Mental World, the skill to use would be active listening if you’re in a one-on-one relationship with them or reflecting and mirroring what they are feeling. So if it was someone who cut you off in traffic and you had the opportunity to transform their emotional reactivity by their action, you might hear them say, traffic was moving too slowly, and I was late for an appointment. I just needed to get ahead, and you could feed that back to them and take the emotional charge away. Any questions about what I’ve shared so far? I want to make sure you all understand how important communication skills are.

Charlotte
Yes. When you say someone cuts you off in the car and you yourself, I do that often. If people do that, I’m like, they’re in a rush. They have to be somewhere. I have time. It’s okay. But if you say, give it back to them, how does that work? Do they just receive it by me thinking it?

Dr. Eleanor
No, but you, you’re not in a personal relationship with them. So if you react emotionally, then what I’m saying is you need, if you’re in an emotionally reactive state because somebody else is in an emotionally reactive state, you need to go inside as you do and say, “I understand this is not personal.” And you take it to a spiritual level for yourself. And in that case, you know, you might say, “Okay, God, okay, higher self, what is here for me to learn from this?”

Charlotte
I’ve had a lot of those conversations.

Dr. Eleanor
Excellent. The more conversations we have with ourselves to shift our own consciousness, the more conscious we become. And remember, everyone has a choice. In the moment you choose your reaction, you choose. If you do react, you have a mind that can oversee and your spirit certainly can oversee and calm the mind down and move you into a balanced place. And that’s the goal –  Consciousness.

Yeah, so I don’t know if this is a bit off-topic, but I was wondering what the order of, like, mental to emotional to spiritual to like the order of the worlds was. And then also if it’s contingent on external factors, like if you switch worlds based on what’s going on around you, or is it you sort of go through these different worlds in a society?

Dr. Eleanor
In Figure eight, we move between the emotional and the mental. I’ll demonstrate it. If we’re moving to Tai Chi Gung, we do figure eight. Why don’t you all stand up and I’ll take you through it. Good. Start out with your feet parallel, about shoulder-width apart, and knees slightly bent. And then put your weight on your left foot. And then rock to the right foot and rock to the left foot, and rock to the right foot, and rock to the left foot. Put your weight on the heel, turn slightly toward the right, and let the energy move from the heel to the toe of the left foot and then shift to the right foot, heel to toe with the weight, heel to toe, heel to toe, with the shift coming from the pelvis.

You’re moving heel to toe and shifting heel to toe and shifting. And you go from the, mental to the physical to the spiritual to the emotional to the mental to the physical to the spiritual to the emotional, mental to physical, spiritual to emotional. And let’s stop.

Regardless of how you’re going to combine the world, wherever you start, you’re going to the spiritual and the emotional connect. And part of the reason they connect in my theoretical understanding of it, is that we transform the Emotional World into spiritual energy, and that connects it back up with spirit in its pure sense. Then we move back from spirit to emotional and then to the mental. But that Emotional World that is moving to the Mental World is moving spiritual understanding of the Emotional World to the Mental World to inform it. And then it moves to the physical.

We know that the mind can influence physical health and that physical health can influence how we think about things. So it goes both ways in the crossing.. Sirak, does that answer your question?

Sirak
Yes, it does. Although I’m still a bit confused about sort of like the cutting off someone cutting you off in traffic as the example, if you’re in, for example, the Mental World at that point, or the Physical World. Sorry. Someone cutting you off.

Dr. Eleanor
Sirak, we live in an Integrated Consciousness. So, internally, the worlds are not separated.

Sirak
Right? Okay. Okay.

Dr. Eleanor
We’re separating them to understand their dynamics, which have never been explained in the field of psychology.

Sirak
Yeah. Cool. All right, that helps. Now I get it.

Dr. Eleanor
I taught psychology for three years at a college and graduate school level, and we never once talked about the Spiritual world as part of the unconscious. We never talked about how the Mental World and Physical World interacted. And now, if I were to teach personality or introductory psychology or testing, I would make a point that we’re not one-dimensional beings who are functioning in a conscious, unconscious world. We function in an integrated matrix that includes all the separate worlds. And what we need to learn is how to function in each one of them in order to transform the energy of that world. And we do that in relationships with certain kinds of communication. We do it by ourselves.

The Spiritual World

It’s a perfect time for me to flip to the Spiritual World because how we communicate with ourselves spiritually is very tricky, really tricky, and so important because we don’t grow up with a spiritual language other than if we’re enmeshed in some kind of religious practices. And people get reactive about the limitations of that kind of spiritual discipline. So what I’ve come to in terms of the Spiritual World is, in addition to meditation, where you put the mind hopefully aside and are just in being. To get access to the spiritual component of yourself using words, you need to use clean language.
 
Now, clean language was developed by a man named David Grove, I think, in the seventies or eighties. And David believed that you couldn’t really access the deep unconscious unless you took any language cues out of the language itself. So, he removed from his questions all kinesthetic, auditory, and visual cues. Questions like, “What would you like to have happen in this webinar?” are clean questions. I gave you no clue about the world in which you would direct your actions. If you’re in an argument with someone, let’s say take the car example and cut off. Take somebody who’s emotionally reactive and comes into your energy field. Don’t engage. Stay in your spiritual self and say to them, “What would you like to have happen when you ask that question”?
 
You give them no information and no reactivity coming from yourself. So you’re spiritually aligning and saying to them, open up and tell me what you need or what you want. Other clean questions are: what do you know about X now? If a client comes into my office and says they’re having a problem, I can get them immediately into the spiritual dimension by saying to them, “And what do you know about this problem now?” I’ve given them no cues about where to go with it. And when they speak, I could say, and what do you know about X now? Or, and knowing that, what difference does it make? Or, and x repeating their word, is there more? Does this make sense to everyone?
 
Dr. Marvin
So there’s no emotional charge?
 
Dr. Eleanor
No emotional charge and no internal associations to the question. If I ask the person, oh, with that problem, what do you feel about it? I’m asking them to deal emotionally. What do you think about that? I’m asking them to go mental. And how does that affect you? Maybe that’s physical instead of what do you know about it? Is asking them to go inside and delve deep inside themselves. Because we want people to become more conscious and more in touch with who they are. By giving them too much information, we take that inner authority away from them. So we’ve done mental, we’ve done a little bit with emotional.

The Physical World

Let’s go to physical. Physical is more about self-care and discipline in our world, or at least in; I live in South Carolina and have lived in the Midwest and the West as well as the east coast. But here in America, other than people working out and abusing their bodies by working out too much, physical health does not get the kind of attention and caretaking that it generally needs. People don’t work out as much as they should from their own reports. I see people procrastinating about self-care. Things get in the way of it.

So I’d recommend for all of you that self-care is not in words. Self-care involves how you care for your body and do you respect it. Do you speak to it? Do you ask your body what it needs? How do you know what you know when dealing with your physical health and body? Are you taking care of it? Are you attending to it? Are you eating the right foods? Are you aware of the contaminants in food? And are you taking those into account in your daily life nowadays?

I’ve heard from numerous people that when they go to a doctor, the doctor is generally looking at the computer and not examining the physical body. And certainly, that’s not good medical care, and it’s not respecting the physical body. So I urge you all to pay attention to your physical being and give it attention and listening. You have to listen spiritually and mentally to your physical body. Physical goes to mental. So if you say, I woke up this morning, and I felt really energized, what does that say about your physical body? And then, how do you handle your physical body that day? Do you abuse it by doing too much because suddenly you have energy? Or do you ask your body where it wants you to go next?

What is going to make it feel good today if you’re energized, do you want to go out in nature and walk? Do you want to sit at your desk and work? What is going to empower your physicality? So you, at the end of the day, say thank you, body; I’m really grateful to you because you let me do everything I needed to do today. And look at how healthy we’ve been.

For those of you who are new today, when I do a gratitude statement, I always add the “because” to it. And that’s because you are writing a gratitude statement in the Mental World. The communication skills in the Mental World are listening skills. So, if you’re grateful for the physical body today, give the because statement.

In the Mental World, when you have a need, a want, or a desire and you’re communicating it to another person—in this case, your physical body is communicating it to your mental body—you want the because statement. The because statement is a tangible, concrete effect on you of what just happened, what you need, or what you’re grateful for.

In my physical statements about the physical world, I might say, I’m so grateful to be able to brush my teeth every day because I have the proper coordination with which to do it, the proper toothpaste with which to do it, and I help my teeth stay clean and healthy. That would be my because statement. And you do however you want to do it. But don’t just say, I’m grateful I could brush my teeth. What allowed you to do that? You have a hand, and you have an arm. You have teeth to do it with. What a blessing that is. So tiny little things we take for granted every day are things to be grateful for in each world.

Yes. What you were saying about the physical body was something I was thinking about yesterday. Because I’m spending a lot of attention on cooking and feeding my body the right nutrition, biological food, all stuff like that. As I was cooking yesterday, I was trying to figure out in what world I am now. Basically, the act of cooking food is a Mental World thing. But while I’m doing it, I feel really grateful because my body knows this is good for me. And it’s going to make me healthier and happier and give me the right energy. And at the same time, I always also feel connected in the Spiritual World. Because my soul is also happy to be able to live in a healthy body.
 
Dr. Eleanor
You’re experiencing. Because, Charlotte, you’ve been listening to me talk about the Four Worlds for what, a year?
 
Charlotte
Yeah, exactly a year.
 
Dr. Eleanor
This week, you are recognizing that one world takes priority in functioning, but the other worlds don’t disappear.
 
Charlotte
Yeah, exactly. That.
 
Dr. Eleanor
That’s the integrated matrix.
 
Charlotte
And one more question. Once you feel that integrated matrix, the Emotional World, it doesn’t feel reactive to me. It feels more like a world where things are very clear and they’re bringing lessons and insights that we can work with mentally, physically, and spiritually.
 
Dr. Eleanor
I almost never get emotionally reactive. I don’t get emotionally reactive to things I hear or what people say to me. It’s rare for me to be emotional now. I’m not an emotional being, anyway. But what you’re saying is that you’re beginning to recognize that you may be predominantly in one world, but the other worlds are still there getting the goods.

Hi. I’m brand new here. I found you yesterday through a conversation you had with Sean somebody. And I actually then listened to another one. You did. I’ve heard your name mentioned many times. I’ve been in my Human Design experiment for about seven and a half years. In fact, I know Charlotte. I know you from somewhere. I don’t know Karen Curry Parker’s community, but I think you are a part of it. But I was really contemplating when you said the “What do you know about this problem now?” statement. As somebody, I still have not seen my integrated chart or anything. All I know is my Human Design, which I have found to be completely life-changing.

So I felt a resonance of truth in the things that you said that certain things did not hold up. But it’s kind of shattering a little bit because this is, I’m a Human Design mentor; I do a podcast called Real Human Design Stories where I talk to people about how Human Designs change their lives.

So now, what do I know about this? Everything I know is, you know, what I thought I knew. And I’ve said this for a while because I’m, in Human Design terms, Left Angle, Cross of Uncertainty. Right. I have an open Ajna. So, I’ve said anything I know today could be completely different tomorrow. I don’t know. I always just say, this is what I know at the moment. So when somebody asks me what I know, it puts me into a mental place because then I try to, you know, to me, it’s like, what do I know? Well, I don’t know. I don’t know anything. You know? I know nothing.

Dr. Eleanor
You actually, Kathy, know a lot spiritually. So go on my calendar to set up and appointment, and I’ll do your chart, and we’ll go over it. But when you say Human Design changed your life, what you’re talking about, where you’re talking from, is the Spiritual World, to the Human Design System itself. I worked with Ra, was his business partner, and wrote 13 books with him. So I found a lot of value in the Human Design System, but it’s not a complete system because it does not take into account that the pain most people feel is that who they are on a spiritual level has not been acknowledged in the Mental World.

And so if we see the Mental World as the way in and what you know, because, you know, it is part of the emotional matrix and has all of the upper centers. The Emotional Angelic Matrix is a 33-Gate Matrix that actually does not have the Solar Plexus. The Solar Plexus, the Emotional Center, only functions in the Mental and Physical Worlds.

So I think what you’re going to find, Kathy, when you see your integrated chart, is that 95% of the population in their integrated chart are Manifesting Generators. The point of that is that we are divine beings here to manifest our actual potential. The question is, how do we navigate through the world in order to do that?

Do you… so, and then I don’t mean to hijack this whole thing, but if 95% of us are Manifesting Generators, do you still believe in the idea that we, that 95%, are here to respond the way that it’s taught in traditional Human Design?

Yes. Okay.

Dr. Marvin
I was told that I’m a Projector, right? And I’m a medical doctor, and I don’t sit around and wait for anything. And I am sensitive. So that was accurate. I’m energetically sensitive, but I live as a Manifesting Generator. Ra kept telling me, well, you’re this, and you’re that. I said, well, how did I, you know, have all this energy to go through school and to focus? And, I mean, I lived as a Manifesting Generator. I mean, human beings are here to manifest, and it so happens that we have a gut, so then we become a massive manifesting generator. But if I were impressionable and not already established and older than Ra. Yeah, I’m older than Ra, wasn’t I?

Dr. Eleanor
You’ve always been older than Ra.

Dr. Marvin
I’m even older than him now, right? Yeah, he agreed. He’s still smoking, by the way, wherever he is, so, yeah, so, yeah, I mean, I.

Dr. Eleanor
Let’s not go too much into the design stuff because there are people here who know nothing about it, and I will be teaching it. But the point is that I understand the issue with feeling like your whole world is coming apart. It’s not. It’s being expanded into more understanding of how the matrix functions and how the other matrices fit together. There was a quote by Ra in one of the books we wrote, and he said we were teaching what we called the Triple Design Matrix at that time, the Dream Design, and he didn’t know anything about it.

He said, I really owe teaching the other matrices to Eleanor because without integrating the matrices, we don’t really have the full picture of how they interact. So he set me on a path of doing clinical and statistical research, and I’ve now fulfilled my obligation, and now I’m teaching the Four Worlds, and I will teach Design, but that’s not my life.

My life is teaching the Four Worlds. Okay, Kathy, just go on my calendar and schedule something. Sirak, I’m going to take Teresa first because you’ve already had a turn.

So you’re looking at which. You’re looking at the image that says Mental, Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical, and at the top, we have the anticipated…
 
Sirak
At the integrated. So I’m aware that we’re all, like, integrated. That makes sense to me. But then, someone said that we primarily sort of live or act through one. It doesn’t. It just means that the other ones, uh, doesn’t mean the other ones aren’t there. I’m wondering, is that something that changes over time, or do we sort of naturally have a proclivity to be in?
 
Dr. Eleanor
We’re a complete being. We’re not separate beings in different worlds, but we process information differently. You know, we have one body, and that body is complex. The brain, especially, is very complex. So, for example, when I do the charts, I put everything in a 64 gate matrix. Because even if it’s a different matrix, if we’re awake, it’s going through our whole body. So, every day, we’re impacted by the energies of the transits, and that changes our definitions.
 
Dr. Marvin
All the cells.
 
Dr. Eleanor
Yes. And when we’re sitting here in this webinar, our spirit is active. Our body is active. We’re breathing. Our emotions are active. We’re in an Integrated World. We’re not just in a Mental World with no spirit going on at that time, and we’re breathing, and our heart’s beating. So, the Physical World is functioning actively, and most of the time, we’re not paying attention to it or even thinking about it. So when we’re functioning in the world, we’re in that central self in an integrated whole. And so, does that make sense to you, Sirak?
 
Sirak
Yeah. Yeah, that part makes perfect sense. I guess it was more a question of whether different people have a different, like, the same way that some people lean towards going to the gym. And you can see how some people are really, really active in exercise early on in their life, and that’s something that’s really natural to them, the same way that other people are really naturally inclined to study and be really mental. Is that sort of? Is that to do with the Four Worlds and how we sort of lean towards one as a…
 
Dr. Eleanor
I think for those of you who’ve had sessions with me, I might say to you that you need to meditate. Or I did a reading for someone yesterday. I said it’s really important for you to move every day because the energy doesn’t… you know, if you’re not moving, you’re not tapping into the dimension that you need to tap into for that to be activated in your aura. And if any of you have any Central Column stuff, the Center, that’s really important. You all, if you have any of those internal central channels, you need to move because that’s the satsuma, and it’s the spine, and you want the energy to be going up the spine and activating you fully on a spiritual level.
 
Dr. Marvin
So, I’ve always been physically active. And in India, I went to an active meditation at Osho’s ashram, and I was shaking. It was called a Kundalini meditation. Kundalini is the central channel. And while I was shaking, the energy that was in the body as pain and exhaustion got released into the central channel, and I connected up and I saw everyone was a light body. And I had memories going back in my life to being in utero, like as a movie. And I had other awarenesses in time and space beyond. So, that was an example of me as a physical being. And that’s one of the reasons I always needed exercise. I didn’t know why until that moment.

Final Attunement

Dr. Eleanor
Let’s do an attunement.  Find a comfortable place. I’m going to make this a long one, so get really comfortable.
 
Find a comfortable place where you can be internal, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Allow yourself to settle down inside. Set your intention to release any energy that is misaligned with the core of your being. Doesn’t matter what it is or where it came from, but you can use your breath to cleanse.
 
So, do a quick scan of your body. Is there any place in your body that needs to release some tension? Move around, wiggle around, move your head, your feet. Just do whatever you need to do to let go of the energy around you that is misaligned with the core of your being. There’s nowhere you need to be and nothing you need to do other than where you are and what you’re doing right now. Just breathing and letting go.
 
As you go deeper into yourself, you may hear a little voice inside your head. That voice is supportive and brings up the words inside: “I love myself. I hold myself as I need to hold myself to be who I am optimally in the world. I am who I am.’ And from this place of knowing who you are, recognize that who you are matters only to you.
 
Anyone who gives you information about who you are does not know who you are unless it resonates 100% with you. From this place, what do you know about yourself now? And what else do you know about yourself now? Do a scan and see if there’s any area of your life where you feel emotionally reactive: relationships, work, physical health, spiritual health, the situation in the world.
 
And from this place, where there is some emotional reactivity, breathe and ask yourself, what from this place do I want to have happen to release my emotional reactivity? Let it go. There’s no one you need to convince of what you feel. And there is no one you need to tell what you feel because you have the power within yourself to transform emotional reactivity into a higher understanding and a higher frequency that carries with it love, compassion, and empathy.
 
Bring those emotions into that equation and release the reactivity. Every challenge has a blessing and a growth. Remember that every time you feel emotional or stressed, take a deep breath and let the divine breathe you. And from that place of the divine breathing, you let the lesson of the emotion and the Emotional World take you to a new understanding, a new depth of awareness, and a new level of frequency that releases you from emotional reactivity and set that as a goal.
 
Allow yourself now to thank your Mental World, for your sanity, for your intelligence, for your competence, for a mind that can think and deal with day to day problems and set your intent spiritually. That any challenges will be transformed in frequency so that you can grow and expand and allow swirling the energy in your aura as you combine all the worlds, recognizing that you are a unique, complex, integrated being here to manifest your fullest potential in all areas of your life.
 
You can do it. Just breathe and move and listen and respond. And from this place here, send loving energy to everyone in the webinar as you receive the love from everyone in the webinar and the support for being your best self.
